Everyone 💖's February!
The meeting was held at Maker Works with 19 members in person, and 1 member via Zoom.
Round Robin: participants shared their progress.
Ann Arbor Fiber Arts Expo (AAFAX): Carol shared with us what it was like to participate in the Ann Arbor Fiber Arts Expo! It was a fun day with lots of participation. We liked it enough that we plan to return next year with even more activities and enthusiasm!
Swaps/Challenges: This month's challenge was to design a quilt (or even just a block) by taking an aesthetic from a traditional design concept and combine with a modern aesthetic as shown in the Holly Clarke video. We had some really cool ideas come out of it! Check our Instagram to see some!
Charity:
- Our MQG Community Challenge Quilt was spotted at Quilt Con! It looks so good!!
- We had some great charity finishes this month! Continue to get those charity quilts to Carol and peruse our collection of kits to take home and put together, or make your own!
Programs:
- We will have a sew-in on 3/30 at Maker Works from 12pm-4pm! This sew-in will focus on charity quilts.
- April 6th will be our Voltron Quilt Zoom class with Irene Roderick! The class is currently full but you can get on the waitlist in case some folks drop out.
