Hello! I hope everyone had a nice weekend, perhaps filled with some spooky pre-Halloween fun?
There is a guild meeting on Wednesday at 6:30pm - more details here.
Our members have been very busy, even while preparing for Quilt Market!
Brenda has released her first ever quilt pattern! Congratulations, Brenda!
She has also sewn up a Vera Bag using beautiful Echino fabric...
AND Brenda is also playing with the new Botantics fabric line! Can't wait to get my hands on this latest genius from Carolyn Friedlander.
Debbie has released FOUR patterns this fall! Check them all out! I especially love this snow flake tree skirt...
And check out Debbie's booth at Quilt Market? Get it, girl!

Look at this stunning shiny art quilt Kathy made!
And look at this lovely baby quilt Amy's been working on. You know I'm a sucker for solids!
See you on Wednesday, I hope!

Meeting on Wednesday 10/30/2013
Hello members and followers!
We have a guild meeting on Wednesday at 6:30pm at Pink Castle Fabrics.
Please reserve your chair here (under Gatherings): http://www.pinkcastlefabrics.com/pages/classes
We are hoping to fill two positions:
If you want to participate in this month's swap, we are doing a Favorite Tool Swap: Have a sewing tool you love? Bring one to swap to the meeting, and make sure to wrap it up. This will be a yankee swap. Wrap your item before you come. Cost of the item to be around $10.
If you are participating in the Round Robin, please bring your rotating projects. If you would like to throw a new block into the mix, please bring it and please tell Dorie: tumblingblocks AT gmail.com

We are hoping to fill two positions:
- Librarian: Amy regretfully has to resign from her position as library chair. Her schedule will make attending the meetings a bit challenging in 2014. She has, however, built a database of all our library books!
- Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild liason: We need someone to work with the GAAQG so that we can participate in the exhibition next summer. More details here.

Weekly Round-Up for October 20, 2013
Emily has blogged (!) about her gaudy kitty quilt! Who can resist these fabrics?
Pam joined together with some of her friends to make this lovely blanket:
Amy is making great progress with her scrappy plus quilt!
Rossie blogged about her Flyers quilt, which she taught in an introductory quilting class at Pink Castle Fabrics. Check out the awesome student projects, too!

Weekly Round-Up for early October
I am reporting from our Sew-In Sunday here at Pink Castle Fabrics!
I think we've all been busy scheming, secret-sewing, and (if you're me) drywall hanging.
But there are a couple of new things going on in the blogging universe!
I'm really excited about what Ginia's got going on her design wall!
Amy made this adorable top for a mini-quilt!
and CONGRATULATIONS to beautiful Rossie! Her Painted Pebbles quilt won "best applique" in the Modern Quilt Challenge at the AQS Quilt Week Show in Des Moines, Iowa! Woot woot.
