Spring has sprung!!
The meeting was held at Maker Works on April 24th with 15 members in person, 3 guests, and 2 members via Zoom.
Round Robin: participants shared their progress. Want to get involved? Bring a bag with fabric and some instructions (as specific or non-specific as you like!) and cut on in! It's never too late to join our Round Robin fun! Check our guidelines to see how it works!
Swaps/Challenges: This month's swap was an orphan block swap! Members brought in blocks left over from finished quilts or UFOs that became UF-No's! It was really fun to see everyone's blocks!
Charity: Continue to get those charity quilts to Carol and peruse our collection of kits to take home and put together, or make your own! We had a successful charity sew-in in March! Thanks all!
Demonstration/Skill Share: We had a very special guest this month, Becky Grover! Becky Grover is a quilter, longarm business owner, illustrator of the children's book "Snail I Love You", as well as an Etsy seller who sells laser cut shapes and just happens to be the wife of Dale Grover one of the founders of Maker Works (where we meet). Becky coordinated with MW to bring in one of the laser machines to our meeting room demoed it for us. It was amazing! Thank you Becky!
