A2MQG Meeting Minutes - March 2025

March 2025

The meeting was held at Maker Works on March 26th with 27 people in attendance and 4 on Zoom! 

Events: 

- The Liberty of London fabric was cut! There's still some left! Check your email for an order form.

Round Robin: Want to get involved? Just bring a bag with fabric and some instructions (as specific or non-specific as you like!) and cut on in! It's never too late to join our Round Robin fun! Check our guidelines to see how it works!

Swaps/Challenges:  No swap or challenge this month!

Charity: Continue to get those charity quilts to Carol and peruse our collection of kits to take home and put together, or make your own! 

Demonstration/Skill Share:  Heidi showed us how she paints with thread in her unique style! Thank you Heidi that was so cool!

Show and Share:  The Board would like to ask members to limit (if possible) the number of show and shares to no more than 2 quilts. We want to see your work! Don't forget to bring those finishes (and WIPs!) to show off to your quilty pals! Check out all our great shares on Instagram!!

Next meeting: Wednesday, April 30th at Maker Works! 6pm meet and greet, 6:30 meeting start! See you there!

Next month's swap/challenge: The color palette challenge! Choose a color pallette from a movie poster, album cover, book cover, or whatever moves you! Then make any project from it! Can't wait to see yours!

Upcoming Events: 

June 28th, 2025 Dye day! Free for members, watch for a signup form coming soon. Bring any materials you want to donate to the May meeting!

The meeting was held at Maker Works on February 26th with 28 people in attendance and 5 on Zoom! 

Quiltcon: Some members went to QuiltCon and had a great time! They did make and takes, attended lectures, and saw some beautiful quilts!

Events: 

- The Ann Arbor library will be hosting an English Paper piecing class on April 9th from 6-7:30pm! Signups for helping coming soon!

- The Liberty of London fabric was cut! There's still some left! Check your email for an order form.

Swaps/Challenges:  Modern block raffle! We had so many blocks made!! Thanks to everyone for participating!

The meeting was held at Maker Works on January 29th with 23 people in attendance and 1 on Zoom! This was our annual meeting to go over what we did last year and what we'd like to do this year.

Events: 

- The Ann Arbor library will be hosting an English Paper piecing class on April 9th from 6-7:30pm! Signups for helping coming soon!

- We will be offering Liberty of London fabric to guild members to raise money for charity! More details for this soon as well!
